The Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025, commonly known as Martyn's Law, introduces new requirements designed to improve protective security and preparedness at qualifying premises and events across the UK.

What Is Martyn's Law?
Martyn's Law is designed to ensure that people responsible for qualifying premises and events are better prepared to respond to a terrorist attack.
The legislation establishes different requirements depending on the type of premises or event and the number of people reasonably expected to be present.
The standard tier generally applies where between 200 and 799 people may reasonably be expected to be present at the same time. Larger qualifying premises and events involving 800 or more people may fall within the enhanced tier and have additional requirements.
